| Quality Education Council Research Support (Learning Assistance Program) | |
| The 2011 Legislature directed the Institute to provide research support to the Quality Education Counctil (QEC). The QEC requested that the Institute conduct a research study to measure the impact of the state’s Learning Assistance Program (LAP) on student achievement. The study is being conducted in two phases. In fall 2011, we will examine the overall impact of LAP on student achievement by statistically analyzing statewide enrollment and student assessment data. In spring 2012, we will conduct site visits and interviews with a sample of school districts to learn about the specific remediation strategies funded with LAP dollars. A report is due to the QEC by September 1, 2012.
