| Family Caregiver Support Program | |
| Washington’s Family Caregiver Support Program provides a comprehensive array of information, resources and services to unpaid family caregivers caring for adults with functional disabilities. One objective of this program is to delay or avoid placement of the care recipient in long-term care. The 2011 Legislature provided additional funding to allow FCSP to provide its in-depth services to a larger group of caregivers. By August 30, 2012, the Institute will report on whether this program expansion was associated with decreased
use of Medicaid-paid services for care recipients.
