| Foster Care to College Partnership Evaluation | |
| The Foster Care to College Partnership (FCTCP) is a multi-year, grant funded initiative aimed at improving rates of college entry for long-term state-dependent youth. Programs implemented under this initiative include a four-day college preparation seminar for foster students, college informational seminars for youth in care and their caregivers, and a program providing mentoring matches and educational services for foster youth between age 16 and 21. Preliminary reports included a program overview and outline of the research plan (September 2007); an interim report on the four-day college preparation seminar (January 2008); and an interim report on the mentoring program (July 2008). A report assessing the impact of FCTCP programs on high school graduation and college enrollment rates for youth in foster care as adolescents will be published in November 2009.
